Desiree Henderson is a 4th generation Reno-ite. After graduating with her B.A in Southern California, she worked as an organizer of youth camps, conferences and leadership seminars. In 2004, she got the opportunity to move to Italy for 3 years where her only job was to travel and enjoy Europe. Returning to the States, she moved to Virginia and the pull of Reno eventually brought her home. She has worked as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper at 2 local non-profits, specializing in updating and strengthening financial and payroll internal systems and integrating financial information with donor software. She has experience in payroll, event finance management, financial reporting, general bookkeeping and GAAP standards. She strives to make non-profit businesses more efficient in their processes in order to better serve the mission. Desiree is an AIPB Certified Bookkeeper and is avid about continuously learning. She is excited to join the Eddy House team and put her skills and experience to work creating the best possible financial processes in the fight to end youth homelessness in Reno.
