We’re honored to be recognized by three local institutions as one of the best nonprofits in Reno! In the past month, we’ve been awarded recognition for our work with homeless and at-risk youth by Nevada Business Magazine, the Reno Gazette Journal, and the Reno News & Review. It’s so exciting to be honored like this, and we couldn’t have done it without you, our dedicated supporters! 

Recently, we were given the honor of the “Hearts Wide Open” award for nonprofits by Nevada Business Magazine in the Nevada Business Awards at their annual luncheon. We’re so grateful to be recognized among the many wonderful small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Northern Nevada! You’ll see in this picture our founder Lynette Eddy, who accepted the award, with our Chief Operating Officer Jillian Keller. 

During her acceptance speech, Lynette said “We’re so honored, on behalf of all our staff and especially our kids. And at Eddy House they generally feel like outcasts in the community. But with all the support we’re getting, and this, they feel like they’re part of the community.” 

Then, we found out that you, our kind community of supporters, had voted us as the Best Non-Profit/Charity Organization in the Reno Gazette Journal’s Best of Reno awards! We were so honored to be nominated and selected as the winner, and we are happy to congratulate our fellow nominees and finalists.  

Lastly, the Reno News & Review announced their Best of Northern Nevada 2022 winners, and Eddy House was named Best Nonprofit Group. Voters nominated several other wonderful nonprofits, and we’re grateful they chose our organization as the winner.
