Did you know that your support is already changing lives? In fall 2022 an 18-year-old came to Eddy House with no essential documents and nowhere else to go. He started putting one foot in front of the other. He worked incredibly hard to get a job and maintain it while he got his GED. Then he received two promotions, his driver’s permit, and is now working towards moving into his own apartment. That’s a lot to celebrate in a short period of time! This young man has taken advantage of every single opportunity that was provided through the Eddy House Workforce Program. Your generous support makes stories like this possible!  

In 2022, your thoughtful contributions enabled Eddy House to build a workforce development program that is so much more than resumes and job applications. In fact, the primary focus is on education and training so that youth are eligible for high-potential careers. Youth experiencing homelessness, who may have no job history and no high school diploma, can come to Eddy House to finish their GED, get their driver’s license, go to college or through a certification program, and start a high-paying career—all for free while they access therapy, food, and shelter at our central building in Reno, Nevada.
