At Eddy House, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a stable, secure future. That’s why we’re thrilled to share an exciting update on our Transitional Living Community—a vital initiative aimed at providing a supportive environment where young adults can thrive.
Thanks to the hard work of the Pinecrest Construction team and our generous community partners, the Transitional Living Community is set to be completed ahead of schedule, in March 2025!
This community will expand housing options for youth transitioning out of homelessness, especially those who have recently aged out of foster care or are seeking an alternative to shelter living. The complex will feature:
Our Transitional Living Program already boasts incredible outcomes, including six successful exits in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, from our Transitional Living house which has the capacity for six young men. These stories of transformation inspire us as we prepare to welcome even more youth into a space designed to empower them to take the next steps toward independence.
Youth homelessness remains a pressing issue, and transitional living programs are a proven solution to help young people break the cycle. By offering a structured yet empowering environment, the Transitional Living Community will allow residents to focus on their goals, whether it’s pursuing education, securing employment, or achieving financial independence.

Clients who are currently accessing our services have told me they are eagerly looking forward to the opportunity of living in TLC 36. This expansion offers a steppingstone towards their future independence.
For others, particularly those who have recently aged out of the foster system, Eddy House will work hard to divert them from the Emergency Shelter into this empowering program.
