Donation Guidelines

We welcome new, unopened, and youth-friendly items that help meet the basic needs of the young people we serve.

We are now partnered with Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet to meet all of our clothing needs. Please donate any clothing directly to them.

To donate, please bring items to us Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. To schedule a time to bring donations outside of these hours, please call or email our Development Manager, [email protected].

What kinds of items are most helpful to donate:

We welcome new, unopened, and youth-friendly items that help meet the basic needs of the young people we serve. Some of our most-needed items include:

New underwear and bras (all sizes and all styles)

Shelf-stable, non-expired snacks and drinks (e.g., protein bars, granola bars, trail mix, crackers, jerky, nuts, juice boxes, Gatorade)

Travel-size hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, face wash, face lotion, chapstick)

Menstrual and period products (pads, tampons, panty liners, etc.)

Backpacks, tote bags, duffel bags, and rolling suitcases

Gift cards ($5–$15 amounts to local grocery stores, fast food, gas, or online retailers like Amazon)

Laundry detergent (pods or liquid)

- Prepared hygiene kits (travel-size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, and liquid body wash–need to be in clear bags, small Ziploc bags are preferred)

What items can’t be accepted:

To protect the health and dignity of our youth, we’re unable to accept:

Used or previously worn undergarments

Opened or used hygiene products

Expired or perishable food

Items in poor or heavily worn condition

Clothing (except new socks, underwear, and bras

We are no longer accepting used clothing donations because of a fantastic partnership with Good Shepherd Clothing Closet. They bring the inventory to Eddy House for our clients to “shop” in our clothing closet. You can contribute to this initiative by donating at their location: 540 Greenbrae Dr. Sparks, NV

Good Shepherd’s Clothing Closet donation hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 10 am to 2 pm
