Eddy House is proud to partner with the University of Nevada, Reno in many ways, but particularly through the “Street Medicine Clinic” with the UNR School of Medicine. Their medical residents and students accompany our Outreach Team to encampments to help people experiencing homelessness access life-saving and preventative medical care.
“We’re bringing the care to the clients, versus asking them to come to us. A lot of these individuals face challenges accessing traditional health care, so we want to meet them where they are.” – Anisha Makhija, a second-year medical student at UNR Med.
Eddy House is proud of this partnership and the medical students who demonstrate grit, kindness, collaboration, hope, and dignity in helping distribute essential resources to the hard-to-reach parts of our community.
