News and Events

Our shelves could use a little love this week! We`re reaching out to our community for help restocking a few essentials for the at-risk and homeless youth we serve at @eddy_house.

𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞`𝗦 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦:

🩳 Men`s underwear, sizes M & XL (our highest priority!)

👙 Bras, sizes M & L

🧴 Travel-size body wash

All three items are available on our Amazon Wish List ➡️ link in bio

𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗: 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦
We`re also collecting 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 kitchen appliances for youth who have moved out of our shelter and are now living on their own.

Moving out of the shelter is a HUGE milestone, but starting out on your own often means starting from scratch. Everyday essentials like air fryers, microwaves, Crock-Pots, toasters, and coffee makers can help these young adults prepare meals, save money, and make their new spaces feel like home.

If you have an appliance you no longer need that`s clean and in good working condition, we`d love to put it to good use!

📍 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣-𝗢𝗙𝗙: Please email [email protected] to schedule a donation drop-off

‼️ Underwear, bras, and socks must be 𝗡𝗘𝗪, unused, and in their original packaging. We cannot accept these items secondhand, even if they have been washed. Gently used kitchen appliances are welcome, provided they are clean and in good working condition.

Every donation helps us provide young people with the essentials they need today and the tools to build a more stable future.

Thank you for always showing up for our youth! 🙏 💜 🙏

We’re hiring a PR, Events & Content Creation Intern for the Spring 2027 semester! 🎉

This paid internship is open to any current @unevadareno undergraduate student interested in public relations, social media, event marketing, photography, video, writing, or nonprofit storytelling.

The intern will work directly with @eddy_house’s Marketing Director, with much of the semester focused on promoting and supporting our 5th Annual But First, Dessert Gala.

Projects may include creating social media content, event marketing, earned media, sponsor recognition, email and website content, and event-day communications.

Applications close on October 31!
