One Step Can Change Everything
15 years ago, Lynette Eddy saw young people in our community who needed safety, support, and someone willing to believe in them. She decided to act. That first step became Eddy House.This luncheon brings together women who are making Northern Nevada stronger, some through decades of leadership, others through a new idea, a generous instinct, or the courage to begin.
Join us for lunch, honest conversation, and stories from women whose choices have created change. Come to celebrate what is already happening, connect with others who care deeply about this community, and consider the step that may be yours to take next.
Proceeds support Eddy House as we help young people ages 18 to 24 move from homelessness and crisis toward stability, opportunity, and independence.
Designed to elevate women and their impact across our region, the luncheon welcomes people of all genders and identities who believe in building a more connected and equitable community.

Sarah Peters is an environmental engineer, project manager, and community leader in Northern Nevada. She serves as Vice President of Operations and Project Manager at McGinnis & Associates, where she works with communities and Tribal Nations on environmental, infrastructure, and public health projects.
Sarah has also spent years in public service, including serving in the Nevada State Legislature, where she worked on issues ranging from natural resources and environmental protection to health, education, and infrastructure. Her work has consistently focused on bringing people together to solve complex problems and creating opportunities for communities to have a stronger voice in decisions that affect their lives.
Sarah’s commitment to supporting young people is also rooted in personal experience. During her college years, she experienced homelessness and understands firsthand how quickly circumstances can change and how important it can be to have people, organizations, and communities willing to provide support and a path forward. That experience has shaped her belief in the importance of opportunity, connection, and meeting people where they are.
As a mother, professional, and community advocate, Sarah is passionate about supporting women and young people as they navigate challenges, build confidence, find their voice, and create meaningful lives and careers. She believes strong communities are built when people are willing to invest in one another, and that women have an important role in creating those connections.
Sarah is honored to participate in the Eddy House Get Together Luncheon and to support its mission of helping young people build stability, confidence, and a path toward a brighter future.
